Michael Gutschenritter, 77, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2021. Born to Ed and Dorothy Gutschenritter in Shenandoah, Iowa. Mike attended the University of Omaha for two years. He served two years in the United States Army, six years on the Nebraska State Patrol, and 40+ years as a Realtor with Woods Bros. Realty. Mike was a man of great faith and was a devout Catholic. He loved his family and would always bring laughter to any event. He enjoyed traveling, golf, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. You would often find him at Husker events, playing card games, or on road trips with his wife and friends.
Survivors: wife, Jennifer; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Stacy, Lincoln; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jon Meier, Omaha. Stepchildren, Kami and Anthony Herzberg, Wichita, KS; Kalli and Rocky Amend, Omaha. Grandchildren: Mitchell, Kate, Jackson, Carson, Hudson, and Tyson. Step Grandchildren: Jordan, Kennedi, Jaxon, Kamren, Kendal, Bobbi. Nine siblings (spouses), numerous nieces and nephews, loved ones, and close friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra; his parents, Ed and Dorothy; in-laws, Wayne and Alice Wright; brother-in-law, Dr. Bill Robson, and Jerry Albers.
Visitation will be 10am-4pm Thursday, 10-14, at Butherus Maser & Love Funeral Home and 6-7pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1940 South 77th Street. Rosary will follow at 7:00pm at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Friday, 10-15, at the church. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Realtors Association for a scholarship and to the Pius X Foundation. Arrangements: Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. Condolences can be left at www.bmlfh.com
