I am so very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Michael and I started Kindergarten together at Roca. There were three of us in our class from Kindergarten to 8th grade! Both of us went on to Hickman H.S., and then Norris H.S. I recall absolutely hating algebra, and it came so easy to Mike! I subscribe to the "Voice" and over the years read of Mike's active role in managing the affairs of Roca. Mike was a truly decent person and I remember him as a quiet and gentle person. My sincere condolences to the entire Oelschlager family.

Mike and I worked together many years at Parker. I always respected Mike for the vast knowledge and experience that he brought to his job. He always had patience for the many questions I would ask him and was willing to tackle any project I requested. When Mike retired, he left his cell phone number with me and I am going to miss calling and checking up on him occasionally. He always seemed so glad to hear from me. I will also miss his stories about little Avery. She was definitely a bright spot in his life.

As a project engineer for JEO Consulting Group, I had the opportunity to work with Mike on several projects for the Village of Roca. Mike was a very kind and caring person, who did a lot for the Village. His knowledge and dedication to the Village will be missed!

I'm sorry to hear of Mike's death. I was his replacement before he retired and worked with Mike for two days on casting. Before I left Lincoln, Mike gave me his cell phone number and ask me to call if I had any problems. He was a genuine person and I was happy to know him for that short time.

Mike was a wonderful person, and we
will miss him greatly. So glad I
got to go out to dinner a couple
years ago to really meet him. I
got to talk to him two weeks ago and he wanted me to keep in touch
at that time he was feeling good
and was very upbeat. Have many
suppliers calling that they missed
him after he retired.
all my sympathy to the family

I am one of the suppliers to Parker and Mike was my buyer. I have talked to him on the phone for over 15 years. We were trying to get to meet in Las Vegas but it never worked out. I will miss talking to this kind and gentle soul. WeWere going to e-mail each other to stay in contact since his retirement. My heart goes out to his family and I am so glad that I had a chance to know him, even though it was only over the phone.

We will miss Mike greatly.Roca was very blessed to have such a caring person among us. He was always so active in our Village. Commited people are a true blessing in small villages! We have lived in Roca for 18 years, and Mike certainly has done alot for the Village and for our family. He was a great support to me while I was going thru cancer treatment. I will miss his kind words and thoughtfullness for others. All that Mike has done for the the Village & I,will never be forgotten! KC & Bonnie
