My grandmother is the most wonderful person I've known in my life. I can still remember so many things from my childhood. I would see her working so hard doing the very things she loved the most..baking, cooking, ironing, canning and cleaning. I could see the love she poured out in everything she did. Keeping a watchful eye while holding and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making sure they were safe. I've never known anyone as kind as gram. Never a bad word to say about anyone. People that knew her would agree. She had been thru so much and knew what hard times were but she kept going and doing for others because that's where she found her strength. My only regret is that I couldn't have gotten home more often to be with her. But, she knew my circumstances behind that and she may not always agree with my decisions but she loved me for who I was. She will always be with me in my heart. There is no such thing as preparation for losing someone you love. But, she never lost her faith in God and I know she's with him where angels belong. Rest in peace gram. Shirley Ann....your first born grandchild.

My dearest grandma,
What an example you were of how Jesus wants us to live our lives. You showed us in so many ways your compassion, generosity and love for people. This will be your legacy for us to carry on....to be happy, and to love and care for each other. You were a blessing to everyone who knew you. I hope one day to find the inner strength and know that there will be a brighter day but now there is an emptiness in my heart. Yet, stored in my mind are precious memories I will always treasure. You will always be with us in spirit. I will forever miss you. I love you. Your granddaughter,
Steve Vachal
