What a wonderful and dear man Richard was to me. He would come visit me at the clinic every Monday Wednesday and Friday. I always looked forward to hearing him say,"Well hello there my friend. What's new in the city of Wilber?" Richard was a good hearted friend who loved to visit and loved his dog dearly. I am saddened to hear of his untimely death. My thoughts and prayers are with all who had him in their lives. I will truly miss him and wish I could've said goodbye to this wonderful wonderful man. May you rest in peace Richard. I'll forever be your friend.

I echo Dan Kunzman's words about Dick, in regard to the women's basketball program at Doane. Dick knew every player in the program and was genuinely interested in their progress. Dick will be sorely missed in Fuhrer Field House and on campus in general.

Dick will be missed by his fellow coworkers at the Department of Roads. Dick and I spent many hours watching and discussing Nebraska sports, which we both loved. He was a good friend.

Dick always needed to know about the latest women's BB recruits at Doane...when told a name, he usually knew where she was from and had an opinion of how she'd play....he was usually right!
