Robert Geschwender
November 5, 1932 - July 27, 2024
Robert C Geschwender, age 91, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024, at his residence. Born in Lincoln, November 5, 1932. Bob served in the Air National Guard and went on to the university. His creativity led him to industrial design and entrepreneurship, creating many products and acquiring 48 patents through his lifetime.
He founded Concept Engineering, employing over a dozen personnel and later founded Innovative Quest for additional pursuits on his own. His most recent product was the EZ-Read rain gauge. He maintained his interest and efforts to pursue new ideas and inventions to the end. Bob was a member of Southwood Lutheran, among the founding members of Cornhusker Ski Club, enjoyed his motorized recumbent bike and going to Super C's for chocolate cappuccinos with friends.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Donna; daughters: Kristen Fujan & Sheryl Szczerba (Mark); sons: Jim (Kay) & Rich (Amy); grandchildren: Scott (Maria), Bradley, Hannah, Daniel, Hillary, Kelly (Alan), Gina (Michael), Laura, Erin & Kyle; great grandchildren: Levi & Josephine. Preceded in death by his brothers Fred & Mark.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Southwood Lutheran, 4301 Wilderness Hills Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68516. Memorial donations may be made to Southwood Lutheran. Condolences to Donna Geschwender: 5601 S 84th St. #39, Lincoln, NE 68516
