I first met Ron when his brother Larry married my sister Marilyn. Little did I know that he (Ron) would become more than my borhter-in-laws brother. He would become a friend. Our paths crossed many times over the few years and decades. There were get togethers at his parents home near Plattsmouth, a few visits to his home when he lived in Seward, and the get togethers at Marilyn & Larrys home in Nebraska City. I would meet him at the State Fair and even was one of his students when he taught vehicle theft classes offered by NSP, while I worked with Platte County. I will not be able to attend the funeral but wanted to share with the family how much I will miss him. May the Lord be with you all at this trying time.

We are very sorry to hear about Ron's death. As a co-worker of Ron's in the Auto Fraud Unit at the Patrol, I got to spend a lot of time with Ron both at work & socially. We had a lot of good times together with the Patrol "family". He was a wonderful, caring man who will be missed by many. I am so disappointed that we cannot make it back to NE for the funeral. Our thoughts & prayers are with Shirley and the family.

My deepest sympathy to all of Ron's family. I have lots of fond memories of Ron; running into him patroling at the State Fair- introducing him to my children. He would always tattle to my mom - when ever I encountered him in my college days! OH, those lectures he gave me and my friends!! He was a distant cousin and he took the time to come to our mom's funeral - we all appreciated that - as we knew he was a very busy person. I look forward to seeing family at his services. Again - deepest and sincere sympathy.

My sympathies to the Boardman family. I've worked with Ron since he began as an Investigator with the NE Dept of Revenue - Lottery division. He was a great person and co-worker - bigger than life! He will be missed by us all at the Nebraska Lottery. I'm sure they have Harleys in heaven!! God Bless!

Ron was such a kind and gracious man. I loved his smile; it had a beautiful combination of joy and orneriness. I especially loved seeing him as he beheld new little baby Barrett. I offer my deep sympathy to all who knew Ron. He was loved and loving, and he will be missed by many. My love to Shirley and the family.
