Steve was the dental director at the People's City Mission in Lincoln. He started up the program and kept it running for many years through difficult times. He really cared about his patients. Knew them all by name and their family situations. He had numerous dental contacts around the state to assist him with volunteers and services. He set up the appointments, ordered supplies and ran the sterilization. In short....he did it all....just to help other people less fortunate. He was a special humanitarian and a great inspiration to all of us. We have all lost a great friend! Fritz

So sad to lose such a loving and talented man. I worked with Steve at St Elizabeth Medical Center. Our favorite extra activity was putting up all the Christmas decorations. Steve also lent a carpenter's hand for some cabinetry repair in my home. I know he is talking a blue streak to the Big Guy up above on how to improve things. Miss you.

Jan, I am more saddened to hear about Steve´s passing than you could know! The way you described him as having a " big loving heart" is SO true!! He was one of the most giving, caring people I ever knew! It was an honor and privilege to work beside him for many years. He was always so good about keeping in touch after he left our clinic too!! I feel he has heard the words of our Dear Lord Jesus for sure...." Well done my good and faithful servant"!!
May his dear soul rest in peace! My condolences to you, his dear wife!! Peace Jan!!
