Vicki Loree Millard, 77, of Lincoln, Neb. left us peacefully on February 24th, 2026, a loss that came unexpectedly to those that loved her.
Born in Lincoln, Neb. August 28, 1948 to Richard and Emily Anderson, Vicki was a lifelong resident who graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966. She soon met her husband, Kibby Millard, and together they raised three children. Alongside motherhood, Vicki devoted 33 years to the University of Nebraska Foundation as a highly valued executive assistant. In retirement, she remained busy and enjoyed being the number one supporter of her many grandchildren, meeting often with friends, and traveling through many of the National Parks with her sisters and their husbands. She wasn't one for grand displays of affection, but beneath her steady competitive spirit lived an enormous heart, and she loved and served her family with a fierce, selfless devotion.
Vicki's memory will be treasured by her loving husband of 55 years, Kibby Millard; children, Gretchen Middleton and her daughter, Emily, Matt Millard and his children, Avery, Annie, and Mason, Brian (Lisa) Millard and their children, Kaden, Mackenna and Breckin; sisters, Cindi (Paul) Mulcahy and Andi (Brad) Nations. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to invite you to join them in Celebration of Vicki's life on Friday, March 6th, 5 p.m., at the DelRay 817 in Lincoln. There will also be a Rosary held on Saturday, March 7th, 3 p.m., at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln.
In Lieu of sending flowers, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to the Millard Family in honor of Vicki. Your support and generosity during this time are deeply appreciated. Condolences: www.bmlfh.com.
