Wayne Morris Hobelman

Wayne Morris Hobelman, age 82, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Wayne was born January 19, 1941, to Walter and Betty Hobelman in Byron, NE.
Wayne is survived by four sons: Kenton (Cheryl) Hobelman, Ryan Hobelman, Monte (Nicole) Hobelman, and Preston Hobelman; brother, Bill (Nancy) Hobelman; sister, Joy (Don) Longwell; brother, David (Kathy) Hobelman; grandchildren: Shelby, Chayce, Alexis, Samantha, Myah, Kadrin, Jocie, and Libby; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Wayne is preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Linda Hobelman; brother, Lance Hobelman.
A visitation for Wayne will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE, 68512. A celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Christ Lincoln Church, 4325 Sumner St, Lincoln, NE, 68506.

We loved taking care of Wayne at the independence house at mandarin! He always had so many stories and loved his sports! We all grew a fast relationship with him and loved him for HIM! We love and miss you Wayne!!

Wayne was a wonderful person. Devoted to his family and faith. Heaven has gained an angel. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to learn of Wayne´s passing. He was one of greatest guys. Linda and I graduated together in 1960. I knew his mom and dad and Bill and Joy. My husband, Chuck Shores, always had good memories of him. Will keep all of you in my prayers. Peggy Wathor Shores
