William D. Armold, "Bill"

William D. Armold, "Bill", 92, of Lincoln, NE, passed away February 15, 2026. Born May 16, 1933, in Holdrege, NE to Rev. John and D'Alta (David) Armold.

Bill graduated from Mead High School, Westmar College in LeMars, IA and received his Master of Divinity from the Evangelical Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church for 43 years.

Family members include his wife, Shirley; daughters, Ronda Swanson and Stephanie (Jim) Winter; grandchildren, Caleb (Crystal) Swanson, Abigail (Drew) Quintana, Sophia and Livia Swanson, Ben (Joy) Winter, Sam Winter, and Aaron (Aly) Winter; great-grandson, Burk William Winter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wendell (Margaret) Walkup and Shari Walkup. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd Armold; and son-in-law, David R. Swanson.

Graveside service: 10:30 am Saturday, February 21, 2026, Greenwood Cemetery, York, NE followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd. in Lincoln. Visitation with family present will be Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5-7 pm at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 O Street.
