Wilma (Amos) Royster, 85, lost her battle with Dementia on August 25, 2022 at Southlake Village Rehabilitation & Care Center surrounded by her family. Wilma was born to John and Vermell (Hastie) Amos on August 20, 1937 in Sumter, SC. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Sumter, SC in 1955 and moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1956 where she worked at a hat factory and met her future husband, Robert. Wilma worked various jobs over the years as a supermarket cashier, school crossing guard, a telephone operator then administrative assistant for New York Telephone until her retirement in 1994. That very same year Wilma, Robert and her mother-in-law Katie Bell moved to Lincoln, NE to be near her children and grandchildren.
