Betty Pate Obituary

Betty Jane Pate

Age 92, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee. She was born in Elgin, Ill., April 7, 1933, the first of four children of Stanley and Anne (Nee: Leetzou) Micklevitz.

On July 28, 1950, she was united in marriage to Eldon P. Pate and they were blessed with three children, Terri, Stanley, and Stephen. Eldon passed away November 5, 1998. Betty was a wonderful cook and enjoyed trying new recipes from her vast collection of cookbooks. She loved nature and the outdoors. She treasured the time spent with her family in Minocqua working in the garden planting flowers, trees and going fishing. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her daughter, Terri Hendricks; son, Stanley (Dorothy) Pate; grandchildren, Danny Marry, Spring (Ryan) Hohenwald, Anna Norton; great-grandchildren, Cara and Lyla Norton, Peyton Hohenwald; brothers; other relatives; and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Pate; three brothers, Richard, Jerry, and James; and son-in-law, Thomas Hendricks.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, September 11, 2025, 11 am. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 10 to 11 am.
