Frank Morrall Obituary

THE VILLAGES, FLA. - Frank E. Morrall, 82, formerly of Racine, passed away at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Fla. on Saturday, April 18, 2009. He was born on July 6, 1926, the son of the late Frank and Rose (nee: Sherman) Morrall. He went to Horlick High School until he enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 17. Frank served in the Marine Corps for 30 years. He was a decorated combat veteran, serving in World War II and Korea (Chosin Few). Following his military service, he was employed at Sterling Tool Company until his retirement in 1989. He was a life member of the VFW and a former Seam Squirrel in the Cooties. He was a member of the Boys of 76 Drum and Bugle Corps, President of Racine Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps, and Corps Director at the Ambassa Dears D and B Corps. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee: Schnetter) Hainey Morrall; children, Kenneth B. (Debra) Morrall and daughter, Caitlin, Tom Pamilia and children, Tommy and Nicole, Jonathan (Lisa) Hainey and children, Melissa, Matt, Jared, and Jenna, Robin Monkman and children, Leah (Chris) and Aaron, and Laura Morrall and Pat Roherty and children, Kristy and Angie; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Madalynn, and Ethan; and special four-legged friends, Zoey and Blue. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty B. (nee: Brown) Morrall; son-in-law, Randy Monkman; and grandson, Jacob Christman. A Memorial service will be held at Union Grove Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Monday, May 4, 2009, at 10 a.m. In remembrance of Frank, contributions may be made to Human Rights Watch or National Kidney Foundation.
