Helen A. Mickelson 97, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Ascension All Saints, Racine.
She was born in Carman, Manitoba, Canada on July 9, 1928 to the late Marten and Jessie (nee: Warner) Hansen.
On May 28, 1949 Helen married Floyd C. Mickelson. After nearly 70 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on May 16, 2019.
She was employed with Lincoln Lutheran Home as a CNA for over 25 years until her retirement in 1990.
Helen enjoyed sewing, cross stich, solving word search puzzles, flower gardening and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her children, Doreen (Don) Michel, Larry Mickelson, Joyce Slawson and Linda (Bill) Meteyard; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her grandson, Bryan Slawson; her brothers, Arnie and Les and her sister, Irene.
A private family service was held. Entombment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
