Ida Krenzke

RACINE - Ida (nee: Lange) Krenzke, 91, passed away at Willowgreen Assisted Living Center on Friday, November 18, 2005. Ida was born in Moosehorn, Manitoba Canada on September 9, 1914 to Fred and Emma (nee: Janke) Lange and came to Racine as a child. She married Alfred J. Krenzke at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Racine on February 16, 1935. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1986. Ida was employed as a social worker for the Racine County Social Service Department, Racine Unified School District and Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, WI. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Mission Guild, St. Mary's and St. Luke's Auxiliary, Racine Women's Club, Women's Civic Council, YWCA, and Lincoln Lutheran Home Auxiliary. Survivors include her grandson, David L. (Tarra) Warnke of TX; son in law, Larry (Patty) Warnke of Phoenix, AZ; brother in law, and Clem (Beverly) Glotzhober of Dearborn, MI; and niece, Patricia (Jim) Staaden of Racine. Ida is also survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Nancy Ann Warnke on March 9, 1994; sister, Gerda Haisler; aunt, Marion Minch; brother in law and sister in law, Walter and Ida Krenzke. Funeral services for Ida will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Richard Krenzke officiating. Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday from 12:30 pm until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, Racine Lutheran High School or the charity of one's choice. Ida would like to thank her many nieces and nephews who have been a special blessing to her especially since the death of her husband and daughter. Ida's family would like to thank the staff at Willowgreen Assisted Living Center for all of their care and compassion. Ida enjoyed the many friends and the time she spent living at Willowgreen.
