Joseph Cuccio Obituary

Joseph C Cuccio Jr

December 16, 1952 - July 4, 2025

Joe passed away on July 4 surrounded by his loving family.

Family meant everything to Joe. He was a devoted husband, dad, and grandpa. He loved spending time at the family lake home, golfing, fishing, going up north, and spending cold winter months in Florida.

A natural handyman with an artist's eye, Joe could build just about anything. He was creative and a perfectionist in his remodeling projects. He was equally devoted in his relationships and had a wide circle of friends. Joe didn't just bring people together; he kept them close.

Joe was the eldest son of Joseph Cuccio Sr. and Kathy Cuccio. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann; his daughters and son-in-laws, Nicole Hauch (Brett) and Lauren Konicek (Chris); and his cherished grandsons, Jack and Nolan Hauch, and Charlie and Eli Konicek. He had a close and loving relationship with his sisters, Joleen Carlson (Jim) and Joan Watson (Kevin); his dear Aunt Marge Cuccio; his in-laws, Diane, Nancy, Steve, Barb, and Jeff; his nieces and nephews, Courtney, Jessica, Jaclyn, Michael, Randy, and Heidi; as well as friends, who were like family to him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Joe will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Polish Center of Wisconsin, located at 6941 South 68th Street, Franklin, WI 53132. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a service from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"Joe Joe" as we would call him, was one in a handful of men that I truly admired. First of all, he had that smile that was so infectious. Joe would come to my shop and we would talk about different jobs, how they are coming along, and talk sports. oh how we would analyze the sports world; especially golf! joe loved his golf. Then conversation would turn to trips to Mayo, and I would tell "Joe Joe" we are going to beat this Joe. With Joe's and Mary Ann's trips to Mayo, and the gangs power of prayer, we are going to beat this. Well, we all gave it a battle, and this time i lost a friend, and God gained a really good carpenter/as well as a person. "Joe Joe" my brother, I am going to miss you. As your hammering away up there, don't forget what you would tell me; Dan you're doing to much. Slow down, enjoy the game of golf; hang with your friends; most of all be with, and love your Family. That was truly very important to Joe. Peace my Brother and may God bless everyone that was touched by you; friends, and most of all Family. I am going to miss you "Joe Joe", so the next time I see you my friend have a cold one waiting for me my brother!

MaryAnn and family,
So very sorry for the loss of husband and father. I'm grateful that Joe is now with the best carpenter there is - Jesus! I know they are having shop talk conversations. Irish blessing: "May the roof above never fall." You and the girls stay strong! Joe's love and care surrounds you by all he has touched. One of Michaels good long hugs coming your way. Praying for all of you, surrender this pain to God and he and Joe will get you through times ahead.
Love you dearly,
Tierney Family

I grew up two blocks west from Joe on Lindermann Ave. Joe was my same age, so we went through Fratt, McKinley, and Park High School together. Played in band together, were in art classes together too. as the memorial stated he had a natural talent for music and art. That was where we made our connection. We lost contact as I moved to Minneapolis after high school to attend architecture school but often remembered the two of us critiquing our art in class at Park High. Rest in peace Joe, my condolences to the family too.

June 17, 2018 WPHS Golf Outing. Joe was a good ball player in baseball and basketball. Grew up in the late 50´s -early 60´s on West 6th Street. I lived on the Northside of West 6th and Joe lived on the Southside of West 6th Street just a tad west of Jefferson School. All around good guy. RIP Mr. Joe Cuccio.

To the Cuccio Family, My most sincere condolences to you all. I enjoyed seeing Joe at the J.I.Case Golf Reunion. We would badger each other about who would win a prize first in the raffle contest. That will be one of my memories of Joe forever. Take Care and God Bless!!. Jim Fumo
