Kenneth H. McDormand Sr.

Kenneth H. McDormand, Sr. RACINE – Kenneth H. McDormand, Sr., 70, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Ken was born in Toronto, Canada on November 22, 1943. He was united in marriage to the former Lynn Grovogel. Ken served in the U.S. Navy and was employed by Acme Die Casting. Survivors include his wife, Lynn; children, Kenny (Cherie), Sheri, Brian (Ann), Tracy (Lori), Nichole and Kathryn (Omar); fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willard and Etta Haase. Ken is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Noreen (nee, Nichelson) McDormand; and his son, William. In keeping with Ken’s wishes, cremation will take place. A private family service and interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, with Full Military Honors. Memorials in memory of Ken may be directed to Countryside Humane Society. The family would like to thank the Wheaton Franciscan Hospice aids and nurses and a special thank you to Amanda, Ken’s home health care nurse for their compassion and care during his illness.
