BURLINGTON - Lee C. Ulland, 87, of Burlington passed away on February 7, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington,
Born on May 24, 1936, in Rose Creek, MN, he was the son of Charles and Leone (nee Bunker) Ulland. Lee grew up on the farm near Austin, MN and graduated from Austin High School and Minnesota State University at Mankato with honors. After finishing school, he enlisted in the Army and served from 1955 to 1957.
On November 16, 1958, Lee was united in marriage to Doris L. Larsen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, MN. They began their married life in Albert Lea and eventually moved to Mankato, MN. In 1983, they relocated to Burlington, WI and have been there since.
Lee was a loving husband and a wonderful father to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lee owned NEL Frequency Controls in Burlington and was an active member of Norway Lutheran Church. He was an avid reader and loved wood working.
Lee is survived by his wife of 65 years Doris; children: Charles (Jodi) Ulland, Jean (Michael) Krattley, and Russell (Ivy) Ulland; grandchildren: Molly (Ethan) Brooks, Sadie (Josh) Steinegger, Allison (Jordan) Liebl, Emily Krattley, Jack Krattley, Jacob Ulland, Casey (Andrew) Winski, Benjamin Ulland, and Isabel Maravelas; six great-grandchildren; brother, Arnold (Nancy) Ulland; and sister Lillian (Dan) Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Bruce, Roswell, and Jerome.
In lieu of flowers the family would suggest that memorials be made to Norway Lutheran Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff in the ICU at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington, for all of their care and compassion.
A funeral service for Lee will be held at 11am on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Norway Lutheran Church. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Norway Cemetery. Visitation will be held at CHURCH on Monday, February 19th from 9:30 until 10:45am.
