Leonard Wahlen Obituary

. RACINE - Leonard Edward Wahlen, Jr. “Boke”, age 61, suddenly passed away on April 26, 2017 in Tunica, MS. On April 27, 1955, Leonard was born in Racine to Mary (nee: Stevica) and Leonard Wahlen, Sr. He was united in marriage to Ramona M. Helm on March 13, 1982 in Racine. Lenny dedicated his life to his family by working at J.I. Case and CNH for 42 years repairing tractors, retiring in April, 2016. He was very mechanically inclined, was always the first to offer help, and never came to a gathering empty handed. Leonard enjoyed taking care of his yard and precious vehicles. Most importantly, Lenny loved and cared for his family, spending special times with them, especially his granddaughter. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Mona “Minnow” Wahlen; two sons, Jeremy (Crystal) Wahlen and Jason Wahlen (Kelly Mattner); his precious granddaughter, Veda Rain Wahlen; mother, Mary Wahlen; two sisters and one brother, Sue (Donald) Miller, Rudy (Kathy) Wahlen, and Kelli (Mark) Allan; father-in-law, Neal Helm; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Leonard is preceded in death by his father, Leonard, Sr. and his mother-in-law, Mickey Helm. A celebration of Lenny’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, May 6, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. A time of visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made out to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonfuneralhominc.com. A special thank you to Steve “Smitty” and Connie Smith for the priceless support, they were God sent. Also, thanks to the emergency staff and those helping us in Mississippi.
