Lillian Sahakian Obituary

RACINE - Lillian Sahakian, 80, a long-time resident of Racine, passed away the 24th of January at Froedtert Hospital. She was a native of New York. She was the daughter of Archak and Mary Sahakian and the beloved aunt of her nieces and nephews Virginia Giritlian, Nancy Sahakian, Cynthia Bamber, Donna Sahakian, David Sahakian, Alan Sahakian, Curtis Sahakian, and James Giritlian. She is survived by her sister Alice Giritlian (Sahag) and her brother Harold Sahakian (Mary). She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Sahakian (Catherine). Lilllian was a talented artist and formidable Scrabble player. She enjoyed expressing herself through her art and spending holidays with her family. She also valued the kindness and friendship of many people at Prospect Heights. She found comfort in her church. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 4605 Erie Street, Racine, Wisconsin 53402. A memorial service will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Church on March 7th at 10:00 am.
