RACINE - Marilyn Andersen, 90, passed away at Parkview Gardens, on Monday, May 6, 2024.
Marilyn was born in Racine on October 2, 1933, to Paul and Emma (nee: Klepel) Neumann.
She married Norman Andersen at Trinity Lutheran Church on May 7, 1955. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2009.
Marilyn was a longtime and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the choir and served on the ladies aide. She enjoyed entertaining and preparing for the yearly family picnic in her younger years. Marilyn cherished the time with her sons and grandchildren especially summers at the lake house in St. Germaine. She liked to read and work in her garden.
Marilyn is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Richard (Tammy) Andersen and Mark Andersen; and grandchildren: Karrica, Mark, Ryan and Olivia Andersen; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard.
Funeral services for Marilyn will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or Racine Lutheran High School have been suggested.
