Marion Staudenraus Obituary

RACINE - Mrs. Marion E. Staudenraus, 90, died at St. Mary's Medical Center on Monday, January 24, 2005. She was born in Racine on December 26, 1914, to the late Frank and Vera (nee: Andersen) Gausche. On October 30, 1948, she married Francis C. 'Red' Staudenraus. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1973. Mrs. Staudenraus belonged to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and enjoyed cooking, baking, playing the piano, and being in the surroundings of her family. Her survivors include her children, Reed Harding of Racine, Heather (Myles 'Butch') Tesch of Butternut, Brian (Rita) Staudenraus of Sturgeon Bay, and Marlane (Francis) Billings of Union Grove; grandchildren, Rita (Ken) Smart, Annette Goethlich, Ted Kratt, Danny Peterson, Ryan Staudenraus, Matthew Ours, and Timothy Ours; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, June (Robert) Strong of Indian River, Mich.; and cousin, Ruth Goldsworthy. In addition to her parents and husband, her grandson, Kurt Douglas-Kratt preceded her in death. Her Funeral service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 2417 Drexel Avenue, on Saturday, January 29, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Karen C. Kastler officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to meet in the new Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road on the corner of KR and Meachem Road, on Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. There will also be a visitation in the church on Saturday from 9 until 9:30 a.m. DRAEGER-LANGENDORF FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 4600 County Line Road (corner of KR & Meachem Road) 552-9000

Marlane and Brian, I was "best" friends with Marlane during our junior high and highschool years and of course also knew Brian. I remember your mother very well. I wanted to extend my condolences to you both and all your family. Love to you. Joley
