Michael Wattron Obituary
June 16, 1956 - February 21, 2025
Michael Joseph Wattron, age 68, passed away unexpectedly early Friday Feb. 21, 2025, at Lincoln Manor Apartments in Mt. Pleasant. Preceded in death by parents Jerry and Nancy Wattron and sister Mary Ann (nee Dirkse) Wattron, Mike was the oldest of six children. He was born in Chicago and raised in Hoffman Estates, IL and was the identical twin of Steven. He was also the brother of Gerald, Daniel and James.
He was a 1974 graduate of James B. Conant High School and a member of the Navy and traveled throughout Europe and the Caribbean Sea, 1977 to 1978. Mike had artistic talent and attended two art schools in Chicago and would draw religious pictures occasionally. He was a devout Roman Catholic and a serious believer in the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mike would go to Milwaukee for Sunday morning mass in Latin.
Mike enjoyed particular bands in rock and roll and traveled throughout Chicagoland, Wisconsin, and the Midwest for concerts. Mike made his living as a vitamin and supplement salesman for many years. He firmly believed in organic food, coffee, wine, and natural remedies. He impressed his knowledge on everyone he knew. Mike also worked in the TSA at O'Hare airport in Chicago. Mike had many friends and relatives including Pamela Anderson, David Robinson, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives. With a hearty handshake, a big laugh and an outgoing personality Mike will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held this Fall in Stoughton, WI.

Ah, poor Mike. I knew Mike rather well back from 1999 to 2002 when we both drove cab for Community Cab of Des Plaines, IL. He was driver #202 and I was driver #27.
Mike was a funny guy, really liked the Rolling Stones and Hot Tuna, loved health food and wine. I hadn't talked to him in a number of years since I moved back to Pennsylvania, but will have some fond memories of him for a long time
