Norman Lee Schultz passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Racine, WI on June 7, 1935, to Norman G. and Reka (Tuinstra) Schultz. Beloved husband of Barbara F. Schultz, they celebrated 62 years of marriage in June 2023. Loving father of Norman W. (Katherine) Schultz, Lynnell (Peter) Lowney, Lea Alexander (Pollyanne Mather) and Laurie (David) Kliemann. Proud grandfather of Jessica (Jason) Silber, Melissa Grimm, Tiffany (Cory) Henningfeld, Peter, Jr. (Stephanie) Lowney, Philip Lowney (Emma Mueller), Noah Kliemann (Cindy Prentice) and Adam Kliemann. Great grandfather to Kiele, Jonathan, Vincent, Nyah, Elliot and Oliver. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, parents, sister Donna (Charles) Grant, Father- and Mother-in-Law Wesley and Ruth (Aspinal) Fraser, siblings-in-law Donald (Mary Ellen) Fraser, George (Jane) Fraser and Beverly (Earl) Squire.
Norm was a lifelong resident of Wind Lake, WI, he attended Col. Heg School in the Town of Norway and the Racine County Agricultural High School in Rochester, WI. He earned a bachelor's degree in business at UW-Whitewater along with a teaching certificate in Business Education. After college Norm served in the Army for 3 years and was stationed in Germany.
Norm taught for Milwaukee Public Schools for 31 years and loved working with students. In addition to teaching at North Division he taught Drivers Ed and served as the Athletic Director. At Hamilton High School in addition to teaching, during his last few years there, he was also the coordinator for the vocational business program placing and supervising students in internships.
In addition to teaching, Norm was the king of the side hustle. He worked at the First Banking Center in Wind Lake for 46 years, working Friday nights and Saturday mornings until he retired from teaching and then working 20-30 hours per week. He served as a commissioner of the Norway Sanitary District for 30 years, was Financial Secretary for Norway Lutheran Church for 30 years, and managed accounts payable at the Wind Lake Ace Hardware for 25 years. He and his wife were Amway distributors and sold Sunrider Chinese herbs for decades; he was also a member of the Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Visitation will be held 9 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at NORWAY LUTHERAN CHURCH (6321 Heg Park Rd. Wind Lake, WI 53185), with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.
