Peter J. Kohlmann V
THE WATERS OF OAK CREEK - Peter passed away at The Waters of Oak Creek on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the age of 86. Pete was born February 20, 1938 at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine, WI. to Peter J. and Margaret (Moticsko) Kohlmann III, the fifth of six children. During his childhood, Pete worked proudly for his father, at the family established 2nd generation business of Kohlman's 7-Up Bottling. After high school, Pete enlisted in the USMC.
Upon his service as a Marine, in 1963 Pete married Karen Creuziger in Racine, WI, having two children, Ronald G. & Peter J. VI (Perry) Kohlmann. Pete was very skilled with his hands, working initially at S.C. Johnson's Wax, then for Morh-Jones Sheet Metal Co. In 1969, Pete began his pursuit as a business owner, establishing Arrow Heating & A/C. Pete was always on the go, looking for a new adventure, further creating The StowAway Personal Storage complex.
In later years, Pete moved to Ft. Myers, FL, owning and operating Del Prado Medical Plaza, in Cape Coral, FL Pete prospered there, with a fond love of the Florida life.
Pete enjoyed woodworking, snowmobiling with his sons, basking in the Florida sun, but most of all, his love was fishing. Pete traveled the country coast-to-coast, always finding the perfect fishing hole. He didn't have 'many get away', with always a fish story to tell.
Pete was preceded in death by an infant brother (Peter IV), and adolescent sister (Delores). Pete is reunited in heaven with his father and mother; sisters: (Peggy, Maryalyce) and brother (Dave). Pete is survived by his two sons: Ron (Amy) of Caledonia, WI, and Perry (Nette) of Sparta, WI; five loving grandchildren: (Kyle, Kara (Tyler), Jera (Nick) Roberts, Tori, and Peter VII (Tayla); three great-grandchildren (Tyler, Lauren, Taryn), with still another great granddaughter on the way. Pete also was blessed with a wealth of nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at a later date, at St. Sebastians Church in Sturtevant, WI.
