William D. Kohlmann, 85, of Beach Lake, died on April 25, 2025 at Geisinger CMC in Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, the former Margaret Weimer. The couple married on August 28, 1993.
Born on February 21, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Doris (Brown) Kohlmann. He was a US Marine Corp veteran. He was a retired tug boat captain.
Bill enjoyed playing pool and participated in several pool leagues. An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Ridgewood Hookers Fishing Club. On many Saturday nights, he could be found with Margie and friends playing cards. A New York Mets and Jets fan, he enjoy watching games with his friends at The White Owl.
Also surviving is his son, Michael Kohlman of Virginia Beach, VA; his daughters, Kristina Brannen and husband Jason of White Mills, Joyce Wise of Ashland, OH and Susan Constable of Winterville, NC; several grandchildren; nieces Brenda Pierro and husband John and Kelly Hinrichs; his nephew, Sean Flaherty. He will also be missed by his K-9 companion, Brandi.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Flaherty.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 1st at St. Francis Xavier Church, Narrowsburg, NY at 10 am. Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Wednesday, 4 to 7.
