Marion E. DeVita, 86, of Honesdale, passed peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 27, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Anna (Campanelli) Registro. She was the caring older sister to the late James and Joseph Registro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeVita, after 26 years of a loving marriage.

In her younger days, Marion enjoyed singing and harmonizing with her father, which made family gatherings so enjoyable. Her love of shopping was evident in her many excursions to Boscov's and Macy's.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale.

Surviving are her children, Susan DeVita and husband Ian Simpson of Honesdale, Joseph DeVita and wife Susan of Hawley, and Lynn Christiansen and husband Michael of Honesdale; her sister-in-law, Linda Registro of Boynton Beach, FL., her brother-in-law and sister-in-law ,Vincent and Margaret DeVita of Lake Ariel, PA.; her dear grandchildren, Joseph DeVita, Nicole Miller (Kyle), Nicholas DeVita, James Preite, Anna, John and Matthew Christiansen; her great grandson, Patrick Miller; nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Cirsten Matoushek.
