Phyllis A. Nelson

March 3, 1932 - July 13, 2025

Phyllis A. Nelson, age 93, passed away at Willowbrook Care Center on Sunday, July 13, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born on March 3, 1932, to Louis and Florence (Rubischum) Anagnos.

On February 15, 1958, she was united in marriage to George Hamilton Nelson. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2025.

Phyllis worked as a medical secretary and a florist. She loved entertaining, cooking, crafting, and decorating for every season. She had many hobbies including Macrame, stained glass, sewing, and floral design.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Kirk (Shelly) Nelson; grandchildren, Benjamin and Madeline Nelson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and sister Rosella Gilbertson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Monday, July 28, 2025, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave, Racine, Wis. The Mass may be viewed via livestream on the following link facebook.com/PiaseckiFuneralHome/live/. You do not need Facebook to watch. Entombment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in honor of Phyllis may be made to the "Sunshine Fund" at Willowbrook Assisted Living, 3508 Washington Rd, Kenosha, Wis. 53144.
