Dear Hetland family: I'm not sure how to begin. My name is
Duane Kramer. The Hetland's and the Kramer's all grew up together. They lived on State St. and we lived on Summit Ave.
Adolf was a hard working man as was his wife. They were wonderful people. They had a larger family than we did, we had 6, but I'm not sure how many they had, maybe l0. I remember Don who worked at American Bank. Saw him almost daily in the early 50's. Then there was Bob, Kenny,Vilas. Didn't see much of them over the years. But I remember the three sisters, Shirley, Lois and Beverly, the spit-fire. Of couse my favorite was Shirley. Calm, sweet and jkust a lovely person.Out of the depths of the depression when all of us were hurting, came this wonderful Hetland family. What a wonderful memory of the gang on State St. and may you cherish those memories as much as I. Little money, lots of love and courage to face the bleak future. My regards to all of you. And thank you for the memories of a great family. Duane Kramer from SummitAve.
