OLD ORCHARD BEACH - Ben Siegel, 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on July 31, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on Sept. 19, 1954 to father Edwin B. Siegel and mother Carolyn Siegel.
At a young age he attended Elkins Park School and various Pennsylvania schools.
After many years together, Ben married the love of his life Connie Grant-Siegel on Aug. 1, 1998.
He was always a hard worker at any job he had, which included carpenter and mason tender, Wood Structures and parts delivery driver for NAPA.
Everyone who knew Ben, knew of his love of cats, including the many adopted and strays we had over the years including Hooter, "White Cat", Psyclopes, Smokey, Dallas Mary Jane and Bailey.
Ben enjoyed many activities that always involved family and friends like camping, boating, waterskiing, fishing, camp fires or simple barbeque get togethers.
Some of his favorites were spending time with his children and grandsons. He also loved going to concerts. His favorite band was AC/DC, Van Halen and Shine Down.
Ben is survived by his wife Connie of Old Orchard Beach; his sons, Justin Grant and fiancée Dusty Bouchard and Benjamin Grant; daughter Tonya and fiancée Shon Sylvester, all of Biddeford; his sister Susan Mogilesky and husband Richard of Florida: his mother Carolyn Siegel of Pennsylvania; stepmother Pegi Siegel of New Jersey; and 2 beloved grandsons, Cain and Jaxon.
A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home and Cremation, 365 Main St., Saco are entrusted with his arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to offset funeral costs to Northeast Credit Union, Biddeford in the name: Connie Grant Siegel.
