I met Clarice at a French Library block party on Marlbourough Street in Boston. We were both in our 30´s. She was charming, stylish & spoke perfect French. Her card had just her name in script - tres francais. She lived in an enormous sunlit studio on Beacon St. with a beautiful, huge carpet in the center and not much else. It was simple & elegant and looking back now, seems right for this understated & refined woman. Rest in peace beautiful Clarice.

To Clarice may you rest in peace and to your siblings they have my prayers and condolences for your passing. She always kept to herself but she never not talk to you when you saw her at a store or at the mail box. God Bless Clarice and I believe God got another angel.

I see by reading these tributes that Clarice's warm and generous spirit and her motivating sense of humor developed grandly from when I knew her as my step-sister when we were children. This is such a sad moment, I can only think to express my sorrow and hope for thanksgiving for our lives enriched by having known Clarice Allen Kralovec.

Clarice was in our St Barnabas Episcopal youth group in the 1970's in Portland Oregon. She was smart, funny, beautiful - a joy to have in our midst.

I have seen Clarice only a couple of times since she moved across the country to the other Portland but I have many happy memories of her, mostly as a teenager and young adult. She was one of my favorites of my daughter Liz's friends and it was always fun to have her around. To her family, I am so very sad for your loss.

Clarice's loving kindness brightened our lives, too. She stayed with my son and me during my husband's final months, and provided an immeasurable amount of real comfort and support. I shall remember her as a kind soul with deep resources and strength, who loved her family and friends, students and colleagues, and all things French.

Clarice touched the lives of so many students with her passion for teaching. Her legacy will be remembered when each of the many students she had in her classes speaks French that she taught them. Rest In Peace Clarice and thank you for all you did for our kids!

I absolutely loved learning from this adorable, feisty woman. I even stole one of her games (frappe) and adapted it for teaching elementary music. Going to miss the quiet glow of Madame Kralovec!
