Aaron Boxer Obituary

Boxer, Aaron Aaron Boxer died on August 22, 2018 at the age of 96. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Frances Morris Boxer. He was further preceded in death by his brothers, Leo, Sidney and Donald Boxer and 2 sisters, Gertrude Seidel and Lillian Hirschbein. He is survived by his children, Vicki (Allen) Samson, Mark Boxer, Terri Boxer (Jeffrey) Stern and Mitchell Boxer and 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, I. Michael Morris and his sisters-in-law, Joan and Adele Morris. Aaron grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University. He joined the Army Air Corp in 1943 and after extensive training and navigation school, in 1944 he became part of the 491st bomber group stationed in Norwich, and North Pickenham, England. From there he survived 35 missions navigating the B-24, Liberator, over France, Holland and Germany and receiving the title of 1st Lieutenant and 7 medals, 5 battle stars and the Presidential Unit Citation. After continued service in the Air Transport Unit, he returned to Milwaukee and enrolled at Marquette University School of Law, married Fran and began his career in law and real estate development. Aaron and Frances were inseparable until her death in 1999. Aaron and Fran loved to travel and Aaron continued traveling well into his 90s. Aaron will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His children are grateful for all of the years they had together and for his devotion as a father and grandfather. Private services will be held in Florida.

My wife is from the Netherlands and I can only assume that Mr. Boxer had something to do with their survival. May his memory be a blessing.
