Dearest Cari,
My heart bleeds for you - mother to mother. Please excuse the tardiness of this note because I just recently heard the news and was "blown away" for a bit. I feel badly that the news of Abbey's death didn't reach me in time for the Memorial because I would have liked to have paid my respects, that's all. No pressure here, Dear.
I'll never forget your daughter - such a bright, intelligent, inquisitive, adventurous, talented, loving and caring girl and young lady. Abbey's passion for the plight of the Alaskan wolves and "all creatures great and small" (including the human kind) is my clearest memory of her essence. She was a good student, great classmate and a TERRIFIC Girl Scout! So grateful to have known her. She was a "blesson and a lesson" to us all on so many levels, eh?
No words can express and I can only imagine your grief. . . Please drop in if/when you travel this way again so I can just give you a hug and I will try and do the same.
To GAVIN, LITTMAN, and NOWAK Families: May your fond memories bring you some comfort now and for years to come. My sincere condolences.
RIP darlin' Abbey Rose,
Bella Pietsch

Words can't express what you meant to me. As I sit outside, I look up to the sky and find some comfort knowing you are watching over us all. I hear a bird chirp in the background and the whispers of a breeze from the soft wind, knowing its you in some way telling me your in a better place. You were so very special to me and all I can hold onto are our memories. Your beauty was beyond your exterior and the ones who loved and knew you so well were blessed to see your interior beauty. Your smile and laughter lit up a room. God had a plan for you and that I will accept one day. You are an angel amongst us and will forever be in our hearts. I miss you so much and will always hold you in my heart. Until we meet again my dear Abbey Rose...

I am very sorry to hear of Abbey's passing. I really got to know her during her senior year of high school. I had the privilege of being one of her support teachers that year. She was a very sensitive, creative, beautiful young lady. Sorry I am not able to attend her wake since I am out of town. She and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed. Abbey I was only privileged enough to meet you only a handful of times, but you lit up a room when your where there and I couldn't help but smile with you. Unfortunately there comes a time when God calls us all home. Some of us when we are old and tired and others , like you, who where just to young. And I like to believe that the reason those who pass so young pass because God loves you so very much that he wants to save you of some of the hard things in life. That he loves you so much he decides to be selfish and brings you home early. Abbey you are and will always be the beautiful young woman I met a few years ago. The young woman who had a heart full of kindness, and a beautiful soul. We will always remember you Abbey, always.

Abbey you will forever be in our hearts and memories. We loved you from the moment you arrived as an angel from the Heavens. I will never forget your kindness when I was hurting. Through this journey we call life, only a few people touch our lives with such profoundness. I loved you in life, I will love you in death. I know you are in Heaven with Grandma Jean, Grandma Rose, Grandma Sophie, Grandma Mary, Auntie Cathy and Auntie Mary and all the other relatives that have come before you. Wait for me, in a blink I will be there. We loved you, and lost you too early in life. There was much for you to see in this world. Now you will be watching from above. Nudge me every now and then. I believe you can do that. Until we meet again my sweet Abbey Rose, may God always hold you his arms as you deserve to be held.
