Radmila, Natalia, Mike, and Marina:
I was just thinking about Alex and how he and my husband talked and talked at our wedding 5 years ago on July 15th that we held at Old Town. I feel honored that I was able to meet him. After reading his obituary-I feel even more honored. He was such a strong man.

My condolences to the Radicevich family. Alex and his brother worked for my father at American Motors many years ago. Our family celebrated many special events at Old Town. Dad always talked to Alex about the old days... and he always ended the evening with tears in his eyes when he heard "Tamo Del Lako."

To Alex's family; I worked w/Alex @ Brills in the late 60's. If I was waiting for a bus, he'd always give me a ride to work. Such a kind,wonderful man! Later, my family enjoyed Old Town Rest. he'd always stop-by our table to greet-us. Our most sincere condolences. Jesse Torres/Family

As I look back, having worked for Alex at Old Town some thirty years ago, I realize his influence on me.
I will always carry nuggets of his moral character and wisdom with me in my back pocket.

To the whole Radicevich family:
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Alex. I had not seen him for quite a while, but we did have quite a history. Actually with the whole family as we grew up around the block from each other. My mom said he and his wife had my grandmother over for coffee many years ago. (she was from scotland) He was dear, lots of fun, and a workaholic! I'm sorry I won't be teased by him anymore. Myron, Winifred, & Sheila send their thoughts and prayers to you all.

As a local business owner, I had the great privilege of entertaining countless out-of-town clients at Old Town for nearly 20 years. Aleks also hosted numerous company Christmas parties for my employees. All of my guests who have ever enjoyed Old Town, came away with a superb dining experience and an utterly unique and lasting memory. Aleks had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, and part of the Serbian family. He was a larger than life man, but remained humble and unassuming. He had a servant's heart, but a commanding presence.
To his wife Radmila and his children Mike, Marina and Natalia, I say please know how many lives his goodness, generosity and hospitality touched. I am honored to have known Aleks, and grateful for his friendship.

Rada, Mike, Marina, and Natalia....I am truely sorry to have heard about the passing of Alex. Even though we have not been in contact or seen each other over the years....your family has always had a special place in my heart... I not only had the opportunity to grow up with you...but at Alex's first bypass surgery I was asked to be a part of the Old Town family, and I was made to feel apart of your family. There are many wonderful memories I have...and I will keep them in my heart...please accept our deepest sympathies on your loss....

My heartfelt sympathies to the Radicevich family. My sister Denise worked at Old Town in the 70s and I was always impressed with how warm and welcoming Alex was each time we visited - even 40 years later. It was my mother's favorite restaurant and Alex always made her feel like a princess. Such a good man - he will be missed.

I will always remember that charming smile and the sparkle in your eyes, when you said “Yes, of course, write it down!” I suddenly realized the story was good, because it was real and spoken from the heart. My deepest sympathies to you all. Alex was a wonderful man!!! Always greeted me when he was at church. Very warm and caring. I have known Alex since I was a child. Whenever we went into the restaurant he always greeted us and talked to us for a bit. We will miss him.

Alex will truly be missed ... he was always the perfect host. My family and I enjoyed many a family gathering at "Old Towne". Throughout the many years of our gatherings, we had the pleasure of knowing and being served by the family of Alex. May God bless all the members of his warm family in their time of loss.

We will miss Alex's welcome and the way he made every meeting a special occasion. My wife and I had our wedding at Old Towne, and he was as excited as a father for me and my wife that night. We have just heard of Alex's passing.
We will miss him so much. What a friend he was to everyone who knew him.
Old Town was always a special place to us and always will be since it was the place that we were married.
Alex is in our prayers and we are so sorry that we did not hear of this sooner.

To Kuma Rada, Kum Mike, Marina, Natalia and the entire family, my heart felt sympathy and prayers go out to you. I enjoyed working for Alex, at Old Town, as a strolling musician in the early 80s. It was a privilege to play for his patrons. I will always remember how gracious and generous Alex was to my family when we celebrated my daughter's christening at the Old Town restaurant. God bless.

After my Grandmother (Rose Jenko Alpner) passing, having dinner at Old Town was like being back in her kitchen. Alex was away so gracious in greeting us as we entered and making sure our dinner was perfect(as it always was)
