Alfred Patin Obituary

Patin, Alfred Leo "Al" God called Alfred Leo "Al" Patin quietly Tuesday, October 30, 2018, after blessing him with 88 years of life. Al was the loving husband of our dear Mom Patricia for 54 years, until her passing in 2005. Al was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and is survived by his children, grandchildren, great granddaughters, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Al was the dear Dad of Jeanne (Gene) Meyer, Diane (Steve) Goodrich, Peggy (Mike) Larsen, and Bob (Linda) Patin. Dad loved children, and was blessed to be Grandpa of Stacie (Brian) Foote, Sam (Carol) Meyer, Jake Meyer, Seth (Brooke) Patin, Erik (Melisa) Larsen, Jen (Brett) Hermanson, Tony (Marian) Larsen, Luke Patin, Laura (Ryan) Schwartz, Collen (Bakha) Yunosov, Paul (Lauren) Patin, Becky Patin, and Beth (Jon) Boyce. Dad was also greatly blessed with 14 great granddaughters - Lexi, Emma, Natalie, Adelyn, Lily, Olivia, Oona, Arya, Isla, Lily, Liesel, Cora, Sophia, and Clara - and took great joy in spending time with them. Dad also loved family life, golf, yard work, walking, and the Green Bay Packers. We are very proud of Dad's service in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953. Dad loved his country, and always encouraged us to. We all learned from and respected Dad's work ethic, and are proud of his business career in the food industry. Beginning as a bagger in a local food store, Dad rose to retail store management, then transitioned to wholesale, working for Roundy's Inc. until his retirement as a Vice President, helping lead Roundy's steadily forward through significant growth and many changes. Dad was a member of St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, serving as an usher for many years, and was active (with Mom) in many other areas of service. We heartily thank all those at St. Mary who had part together with them in the faith community. We are grateful to the staff and all those who cared for Dad at Tudor Oaks Retirement Community of Muskego. You made Dad's 'new house' a home and friendly community for him. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. Memorial gifts will be used for charities which benefit children, such as Smile Train and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
