Alstine Van Alstine Obituary

Van Alstine, Mavis K. (Nee Massard) Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, March 10, 2012, age 84 years. Beloved wife for 60 years of Tommy. Loving mom of Michael (Patricia Nelson), Patricia (Kim) Armstrong, Mark (Nancy Gall), Christopher, Robert (Kristin) and Barbara Van Alstine. Dearest grandmother of Timothy, Kathryn, Matthew and Nicholas. Dear sister of Mary Rushak. Preceded in death by her sisters, Evangeline Skic and Marcella Sharkey and her brother, Lloyd Massard. Also survived by other family and friends. Mavis was a very active volunteer including, 8 years of teaching CCD, 14 years as a Girl Scout troop leader and for 20 years distributed communion at St. Luke's Medical Center. A sincere thank you to the staffs of Maple Ridge Health Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their loving care and concern. Visitation on Thursday, March 15, 2012, 9:30-11:30 AM at ST. VERONICA CHURCH, 4001 S. Whitnall Ave., Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
