Alvin H. Boyd

1930 - 2015

Boyd, Alvin H. Entered Eternal Life on October 1, 2015 surrounded by family at home. He was born on March 12, 1930 to Wallace and Ruth (Goodman) Boyd in New Berlin. He served in the Army in the Korean War and came home and married the love of his life, Shirley Krahn. They were married for 60 years and had 4 children. They loved to polka dance, were active in their church and enjoyed family gatherings. After growing up on a farm, he spent his days operating heavy equipment for a living and was passionate about his woodworking hobby. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Krahn), and children Linda (John) Aumann, Larry (Pam) Boyd, James (Dona Lynn) Boyd and David Boyd. Grandchildren Tracy (Anthony), Jeremy (Keri), Luke, Becky (Joey), Drew, Jerod, Alyssa (Andrew), Jenna, Colin and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Robert, Ruth, Twin Albert and Arlene. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers George and Wallace and sister Eileen. Visitation at Holy Apostles Catholic Parish, 16000 W. National Avenue in New Berlin on Tuesday, October 6 from 1:30PM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 3:30PM. Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 7 at 11:30AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Apostles Parish or to the Alzheimer's Association appreciated.
