Chris, Chips (and all the rest of your wonderful family),

Sad to hear you've lost your mom. One of my favorite memories was hanging out at your house and helping your mom fold diapers (of which there were many in those years.) I asked her, "Mrs Kamikawa, I know Mr Kamikawa is Japanese, but what are you?" And she replied, "Honey, I'm a pioneer."

Being a pretty literal ten year old, I went home and told my mom, "That lucky Chris, not only is her dad Japanese, but her mom is a pioneer!"

Your mom truly was a pioneer and she raised a wonderful family.

Fondly,

Joan Knoebel

I am very sorry for your loss. I had such a wonderful time talking with her at the July family reunion. My memeories when I was a child of Annamae, Paul and all the children were always fun. I hope she didn't suffer and am sure she and Paul are now together in peace.

We are so sorry for the loss of your mother, Annamae Kamikawa, whom we so lovingly have always referred to as Mrs. Kamikawa. She was a wonderful person and a wonderful friend. Bob worked with her for many years on the St. Philip Neri School board. We watched her lovingly care for her husband and family. We attended the same Mass many Sundays with her at St. Philip Neri. Our oldest daughter Joanne was in the same class as her youngest son Everet. As a family, you can be so proud of your mother. She was a fine lady. May she rest in peace.
