I went to Rosary College with Anne. We traveled together on the Rosary in London program. She smiled regularly and laughed often. What a wonderful, energetic person. I was so sorry to see the news of her passing in the Dominican University magazine. I know she touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Anne was truly one of a kind. We met in college, and I can't remember a time when we were together that we didn't laugh uproariously. I miss her warmth, her intellect and her humor so much. Her interests (some might call them obsessions...) were unusual. Who am I going to share news of the Kennedy family or the Our Lady of Angels fire? Virtual hugs to Pat.

Anne was a very talented teacher and member of the St Eugene and St Monica parishs. My sympathy goes out to Pat and the Rice family. A short life but one filled with many memories of her from friends, students and colleagues. I'm sure she is with Bob in peace.

She was a great teacher and person. I was never the best student, but later on in life I became a WW2 Historian and Military artifact collector. I believe it was her that actually got me liking to learn about history. She loved " Richard Nixon " and I still dont know why, but she had a very small action figure on her desk of him. When Richard Nixon died, I made a little casket out of cardboard, and someone else made a tombstone for him. So we actually had a service for him in class. She thought is was so funny and cute. She will be missed and hope to see her in Heaven.

at- I was shocked and saddened to read about dear Anne. I am so sorry for your loss. Although I have not seen you in many years, I have fond memories of your entire family: warm, happy, closeknit and welcoming. I wish you peace and grace as you treasure all of the happy memories you shared with Anne and Dr. Rice.
I still have a pencil holder you made for me almost 40 years ago! I do not know where you are living so I hope you receive my message.
Fondly,

I will always remember Dr. Rice as one of my absolute favorite teachers. She was a teacher who could bring out the best in her students. I often think of her religion lessons at mass when different readings come up. One of my favorite classroom memories is when she gave all of us a mustard seed to help visualize that passage better. She will be greatly missed, but her impact will last forever.

Dear Pat- Both Meg and I are deeply saddened by the unexpected death of your beloved Anne. She was always a smiling, happy, fun loving young woman and always thinking of others. Meg recalls her times with Anne at Dominican events with her husband Mike.
Anne loved and cherished you deeply and we know how much you and Bob loved and cherished her.
We am sorry we don't know where you are living now to send a card but know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
With sympathy and love

I appreciated working a number of years with Anne at St. Monicas. She was very dedicated to her faith and teaching. Also, I personally appreciated our discussions about art and artists, of which she had great knowledge. Her travels were impressive and wonderful to hear about. My sympathy to her loving mom, Pat, and family.

I met Anne several years ago when she served was president of St. Monica School. Always enthusiastic about having people help, she listened intently to a suggestion or idea, then turned right around and before you knew it, you were heading up the committee. She was passionate about education and St. Monica's. Condolences and prayers for her mother, Pat.

I knew Dr. Anne Rice as a teacher for my grandchildren. She was wonderfully inclusive and always had a good word for each of them. I also knew her as President of St. Monica Grade School. She was a real cheerleader for the importance of Catholic education.
I am sad that Anne has been ill for awhile and especially sad that she is gone too soon. Im sorry for your loss Mrs. Rice.

I first met Anne prior to her entrance into high school while a parishioner at St. Monica's. Our relationship grew as we grew older. We had many friends in common. I was fortunate to spend time with her in my home of Baltimore in past years. Prayers for her dear Mother Pat.

Anne is my cousin. I am astounded and deeply saddened by this loss. Anne was someone I treasured growing up.
I loved her intelligence and her wit, her transparency and her strong commitment to her faith community.
May the Lord give you peace and comfort. And, through her faith in Jesus Christ, may the Father welcome Anne into His everlasting arms.
