Friends and neighbors when we were young; running around the neighborhood and playing in each others basements. After a time away we both came full circle back to our homesteads. Craig and I will miss the summertime gab sessions. You and I just talked about how we can't wait for the warmer weather. May your family find comfort in knowing you are with our Lord. I'll miss you; gone but never forgotten.

Dear D'Amato family. I am so sorry for your loss. Tony was one of my first friends at OLGH. While I'm sad we lost touch over the years I have many memories of causing trouble with him in school which so many times were continued at the D'Amato house afterwards. There our behavior only slightly improved ( that was the good old days when it was ok, even expected, that your friends mom would smack you in the head for misbehaving-which I seem to remember happening fairly frequently). The D'Amato home was my first exposure to a real Italian family- in my minds eye I can still see your mom hollering at Tony, Bob and Tom (Rosanne you were too young to be causing trouble) and your dad being somewhat of the peacemaker. I think it was the first time I had real spaghetti and to this day that is the standard I use in rating Italian cooking. May you find peace and comfort in each other at this time.
I am sorry that I am out of the country and will not be able to attend the services.

Dear D'Amato family..I am so very very sorry, and incredibly sad to hear of Tony's passing. He was a wonderful, kind, and extremely gentle soul. We are all so heartbroken. I met him at Dominican way back in 1975. He was a really good friend. He certainly will be missed. My heartfelt prayers go out to your entire family. Peace to you all.
