Yes, Jack, she WAS our teacher at Grantosa Drive Elementary school in Milwaukee. Mrs. Barnard was my 6th grade teacher in 1961 (I was a January graduate). I also knew her when she was Miss Stancl. Very elegant lady. She shared her love of nature and wildlife with us. I've not forgotten our class trip to visit the state game farm in Poynette WI to see live exhibits of animals native to Wisconsin; Mr. Barnard was also along. Mrs. Barnard was sometimes impatient with me (with reason) but always fair. She was probably the best elementary school teacher I had. My sister, Kris, and my brother, Rich, were also privileged to have her for a teacher. - Karen M. Schaub

Audrey was a wonderful gardener, cook & neighbor. We enjoyed our chats "over the fence" and all the wonderful treats she shared with us. Dexter Ave. won't be the same without her.

It was 1968 and I was only in the 5th grade, I believe this is the same wonderful woman that was my teacher at Grantosa Drive Elementry School. I have such fond memories of this woman and will never forget her.
