Audrey Loeffler Obituary

Loeffler, Audrey C. (Nee Polewczynski) At rest December 9, 2010, age 76. Audrey Loeffler was a vibrant woman who deeply loved her family, friends and her church. Audrey had a passion for sewing, music and dancing. She used those talents well in her jobs and hobbies. Audrey worked at Mary Lester Fabrics for many years as well as Peterson's Upholstery. She also taught ballroom dancing offered to adults by the Milwaukee Public School system. Audrey and her husband Chuck belonged to the Latinaires Dance Club. She loved to play piano as well. Audrey was born June 5, 1934, in the city of Milwaukee, to the late Emil J. and Anna (Podolak) Polewczynski. She married the late Charles A. Loeffler on April 11, 1953, in Milwaukee. They made their residence in Milwaukee enjoying life, family, friends and their flower gardens. At the age of 76, Audrey passed away on Thurs., December 9, 2010, at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, in Schofield, WI. Survivors include her daughter Sharon (Warren) Jacobi of Wausau, WI, and her sons Rev. David (Debra) Loeffler of San Ysidro, NM and Timothy (LaDonna) Loeffler of Wausau, WI; grandchildren, Douglas Jacobi (special friend Kelly Ankney), Tracy (Michael) Gengalo, Jason (Gwen) Morgan, Noah Loeffler and Brett Hoey; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Heather and Sierra Morgan, and Tristan Jacobi. Further survived by a niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her brother, Emil J. Polewczynski, Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 10:30AM at St. Matthias Church, 93rd and W. Beloit Rd., Milwaukee. Visitation Wednesday at the church from 10AM until time of Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

Not only was Audrey an accomplished Dancer, Teacher, Seamstress, Musician and Gardner she was also a great Cook and Baker. For me Christmas wasn't complete without a visit to Chuck and Audrey's for her delicious Gingerbread Men. YUMM!
