August Zamka Obituary

Zamka, August John "Augie" Passed away December 10, 2018. Long time resident of Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by his parents August and Bernice Zamka and sister Claudia Zamka. Survived by his sisters Gloria and Rita Zamka. Loving companion of the late Marie Estelle Gilane for 28 years. Caring stepfather of Terry, Tony and Dona Gilane. Loving grandfather of Daryll, Chris, Maya, Willie (Jamie), David and Celine. Loving great-grandfather of Kenton, Innocense (Poka) and Xaiayza. Visitation Sunday December 16, 2018 from 3PM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 5 PM at CONGREGATION OF THE GREAT SPIRIT (1000 West Lapham Boulevard). Private interment. August was a graduate of St. Roberts Grade School, Marquette University High School and Regis College (Denver, CO). He was active in the family business, Crestwood Childrens Furniture until his retirement. Augie was as an active member and volunteer of the congregation of the Great Spirit Church where he was well loved by the congregation. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Congregation of the Great Spirit appreciated.
