Sheanna and family - We just heard the sad news about Avner. Although we have been living in Israel for many years already, my husband, Itzik, and I remember getting together with you and Avner several times while we were living in Milwaukee. Avner and Itzik used to meet on Sunday mornings, as well, after dropping the kids off at Beth Israel Sunday School. Please accept our sincere condolences to you and the children. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Sharon and Itzik Seluk (Rishon Le Zion, Israel)

Dear Hizmi Family,
I met Avi this year at a Waukesha Business Alliance meeting, and his great personality and ability to tell stories struck a chord with me right away! My son's middle name is Avi, and I will forever remember his kindness and generosity when I hear that name. Since our first encounter we have had many and the work that he has done for the Hebron House was great. He definitely had a heart for the mission!
Sincerely, Cathy Malkani, Hebron House staff member

We will truly miss Avi he was always the friendliest person in the neighborhood and any time we were at Lisa's (our daughter's house) he made a point of visiting with Jerry and I. Dear Hizmi family -
My sincere condolences to you. I spoke with Avi recently about Hebron House at an oneg at Cong. Emanu-El. He was a good man with a heart of gold. His life touched so many people, as was shown by the many people at his funeral. May G-d be with you to comfort you, and may Avi's memory always be a blessing to you. Avi, as he was known at T/M Leasing in Chicago many years ago, was always fun.
Not being an experienced golfer at that time, he didn't know golf carts were not to be driven through the sand traps! But, he did just that during one outing. Course management didn't think it was funny, but co-workers certainly did. I am so sorry for your loss.
