this photo of barb is so appropriate, Always sunshine and love of the outdoors, had the joy of kayaking with her a few times. Very sorry for your loss, and very sad to discover she is no longer with us. May her enthusiasm and love for all beings continue to expand through everyone she loved.

Of all my friends, Barb was the one who truly had a love of life. We wrote short stories and poems together, first when we lived close and then by email. Whenever she was in the area, we would meet and hike at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. The last time was in 2014, and it was so chilly, we huddled together on the deck there, wrapped in a quilt and spoke of our shared respect and love of all nature and of her diagnosis. Even in her own time of need, she thought of others. She lived life to the fullest but her body could not keep up with her energetic spirit. My heart goes out to her family and her soul mate. I will miss her forever.

I am so sad to hear that Barb has passed. Some of the best memories of my skydiving years with The Sky Knights were with Barb. Not so much the jumping but the kids and the conversation. I also remember going skiing at Alpine we would talk on the chair lifts about the guys and try to solve all kinds of women's issues. We'd get together with other lady friends and do foot massages and talk about women's issues. I recall several evening go over to the Women Center at U W Milwaukee to watch documentaries on the history of the women movement. I think Barb was taking a class. Barb was a very special person to me and I am sorry that I did not keep in touch. She touched my life and today I am very sad.

I am sorry to hear of Jim's sister's passing on. Please extend my condolences. Each loss of family and friend is difficult and reminds us of the transience of our lives here, and also of the importance of sharing our limited time here with those that are important to us.
