Duane, I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I remember him and your mother coming to a number of our softball games. If I remember correctly, you told me that he even played with us once. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Bernie and Caroline always helped out with our preschool education programs at the zoo called Rudolph's Adventures. Bernie was the perfect Santa and Caroline was his faithful wife, Mrs. Claus. The children enjoyed them for many years. Bernie was such a kind and gentle person. He always had a joke to make me laugh. I, too, loved their donuts. He will be missed.

Dear Carol and Family. I have a habit of looking at the obits every day that I pick up a paper, and happened to see Bernie's name. Our sincere condolences to you and your family. I remember when you used to come out to the house by Lake Denoon and we would pick rhubarb for you. Take care and God Bless.

I have such fond memories of Bernie the Zoo Prider who made the wonderful cakes and donuts and spoiled us rotten. Bernie and Caroline also played the part of Mr and Mrs Claus for one of our classes. My thoughts and prayers go out to Caroline and the family at this time. I'm always thinking about you.
