TO SEE JOHN BE EMOTIONAL W/ YOU .TO SEE TOM KISS YOU ON THE FOREHEAD, TO SEE ED SLEEP IN A RECLINER FOR ALL THOSE NIGHTS NEXT TO YOU IN ICU AND FOR ME TO SEE YOUR EYES REOPEN AND I GAVE YOU A LITTLE FINGER WAVE AND YOU FINGER WAVED ME BACK. TO KNOW ALL YOU BOYS AND DAUGHTER INLAWS AND GRAND KIDS WERE THERE TO SEE YOU WHEN YOU REGAINED CONCUSSNESS. YOU KNEW YOU WERE WELL LOVED! WHAT I'LL MISS MOST, IS YOUR LOVE FOR GOING ON RIDES IN THE COUNTRY. Mom, we will miss you greatly but you will forever live in my daily thoughts. It was nice to see you finally at peace and free of your breathing tubes. You battled against the odds daily and in the end you carried yourself with dignity and respect.
I will miss you checking up on me over the phone but I know that each night that I lay my head to rest, you will be there watching over me and Nichol and Vegas.
I hope Kody comes and finds you in heaven. You two will have a blast!
Love you always,
Your son,
John

Dear Mother,
We grew and learned, through your careful ever watchful life. You were always there to care for Grandma and us, your 4 sons, Tom, Ed, John, and Brian. Whenever we needed anything you were there to guide and aid us.
After your learning that you had emphasema, you told your Mother and us that you were going to stop smoking and you did. You cared for eveyone you knew and for us too.
Words can not express all the love we all feel. I feel especially lucky to have spent nearly every day of my month long December vacation with you traveling to Gurnee, Kenosha, Racine, West Bend, Lake Geneva, and all over Wisconsin, just taking in the Christmas lights and shopping.
You were and will continue to be my Best Friend, you gave me life, you gave me love, now, I must return all that with thoughts, memories and devotion to all that you instilled in me. I will miss you each time an event comes up, like Summerfest, Irishfest, Germanfest etc. But most of all, I will miss those calls, cards and smiles. But, that will all live on in my mind, heart, pictures and prayers.
Mother, I LOVE YOU! Thanks for everything,
Your loving Son,
Edward
P.S.
I'll miss those wonderful cookies, cakes, breads and chop suey too, cause nobody cooked like you!
