Shereen "Sherry" R. Fleury
Shereen "Sherry" R. Fleury, 82, of Waterbury, formerly of Middletown, beloved wife of Paul Fleury, died Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Midstate Medical Center. She was born in Claremont, NH, daughter of the late William P. Roy and Lydia (Morrissette) Roy-Demers. Sherry lived most of her life in Middletown, attending St. Mary's School and later graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1960. She maintained numerous jobs throughout her life from working for the State of Connecticut, Hartford Insurance and many retail stores. She loved spending time with and encouraging her family. She was always involved in her son's sports, helping with little league, basketball and Spartans Football and Cheerleading. Sherry led the cheerleading team to the podium for an award while coaching. She was a lover of animals and adopted numerous cats and dogs over the years. Sherry is survived by her husband Paul Fleury, sons, Keith Czaja (Terri), Mark Czaja (Lisa), Sean Czaja (Aggie), grandchildren, Devon Kennedy (Edward), Damian Zuchowicz, Carly Czaja, Zachary Czaja (USAF), as well as three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Matt Czaja, parents, William and Lydia Roy, stepfather, Paul Demers and first husband, Leon Czaja. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday (Jan. 9th) at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
