Blythe Bathrick Obituary

Bathrick, Blythe Weber Age 74, born on the 1st day of August, in 1940. Passed away with family at her side, on Mother's Day, May 10, 2015. Blythe Bathrick (Mrs. Alton), Oconomowoc Daughter of Ralph and Katharine Weber. Mother of son Gib (Gretchen), daughter Kitty Brokaw (Brad), Grandmother of Shaianne and Brayden Brokaw. A graduate of Lake Forest College in 1962, she went on to teach in Puerto Rico, continuing in the Whitefish Bay School System as well as substituting and tutoring. A past member of the Milwaukee Junior League, present member of Children's Hospital Toymakers Auxiliary. Member of the Oconomowoc Lake Club, Oconomowoc Golf Club and The Kettle Moraine Garden Club. Blythe had a great love of children; "All children are legitimate!" As well as horticulture (Blythe had a flower business for 18 years), her love extended to the humane treatment of animals, which included her volunteering at the Human Society of Jefferson County. Both Blythe and Al were committed to the Humane Society of Jefferson County, from where their beloved Sheltie, Troonie, haled. Music and the extraordinary Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra provided great nourishment and joy. She shared her love of music with all, playing piano by ear for family and friends at gatherings. Blythe and Al together at Lake Forest college were a special pair. Blythe's kind manner and smile were always with her. She indeed will be missed. Al, am so very sorry

It saddens me to see the loss of yet another person. I am deeply sorry for your loss. However it is good to see that she lived a good and long life. The bible though, tells of a time when people can live forever on earth. Ps 37:29

AL Please accept my sincere sympathy to you and your family in the loss of Blythe. I was distressed to hear that she was ill and tried to reach you by phone, but failed. I remember so well our fun times in San Juan and other times after we returned here to the states. If you feel up to it, please call me so we an have a chat on the phone.
