Just wanted to send my sympathy to Brett and his family. I was one of his nurses recently and it really pained me to see such a sweet young man taken from this Earth so early. My heart truly goes out to him and his family. He is in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

I'm shocked and sadden to hear of Brett's passing. The Blugold swimming community will never forget Brett and his contributions to the program. He was sprinter at heart and his competitive spirit was always on deck during a meet or a practice. There are two vivid memories that make me think of Brett's big smile. The first is when he was selected to swim in the “A” 400 Free relay at the WIAC conference meet. The second was when I told him today's entire practice consisted of 5 X 50's on 15:00 minutes. Brett's teammates who read this post will know why a swimmer like Brett would like that set. It was a privilege to be your coach. I'll miss you.
